Bavaria's 38ft yacht is nearly 40ft in length. Designed and constructed by J&J Design she has been fitted out to maximise cruising pleasure. From full standing fore cabin headroom, large heads with accompanying shower and roomy cabins all with bench seats and seven mains outlets,

Jay comes fully equipped.

A linear galley with twin sinks, two burner cooker with oven and fridge are on the port side.

The saloon table with accommodation for eight seated comfortably, thanks to the settees surrounding all sides of the table to starboard.

This can convert to a large double for night time if required or used as a single berth. Three double cabins are well sized

(ALL cabins and saloon have been re-upholstered berths are available with bedding packs).

All areas have individual heating supplied by the Eberspacher Airtronic D4 warm air heating unit. Water is plentiful (300L) via twin tanks and heated by the engine or shore power immersion heating.

Music is supplied via a JVC FM/CD stereo so do not forget those CD's/DVD's.

A Digital DVD/HD TV provides for Digital TV.

A Victron Energy Inverter/Charger is installed to keep your Laptops, Mobile Phones and other portable electronic equipment fully charged even if shore power is unavailable.

In addition 2019 Cruising on the West Coast is enhanced with her Marlec Rutland Wind Turbine and new large 120 Amp engine driven alternator.

Her No.2 Genoa is set on a Furlex roller drum.

(A No.1 genoa is available on request) and there is a conventional main sail

with an Easy-drop Stack-Pack System (lazy bag) Jay is a joy to sail.

All control lines are let back aft to the cockpit, behind the large spray hood.

Four self tailing two speed winches are used for sail trim. Reefing is accomplished using the patented Selden single line reefing system with a Selden Rod kicker.

Jay has four Harken Self-tailing two-speed winches.

    A Volvo Penta 29HP Saildrive powers her with

3 bladed propeller making manoeuvring in confines easy.

Instrumentation is entirely Raymarine throughout, including a Raymarine A98 multi function display new for 2019 which includes AIS, 3D, wifi and a Smartpilot S2 Course Computer with ST6001 Autopilot at the helm, plus Auto wind and Tridata.

A Category B AIS system has been added with interfacing AIS VHF & GPS.

There is a DSC VHF at the Nav Station with integrated AIS along with the 2nd Raymarine Colour Plotter (A50) which can display AIS equipped boats within 10nm, making radio VHF communication easy with both DSC and AIS.

Jay has a 20Kg main anchor on 50m chain and is equipped with a 1000W Electric Lofrans Caymen 88 windlass.

She has a 2.7m Plastimo RIB mounted on snap davits and a Honda 2HP four stroke air cooled outboard.

Under way Jay has a hull speed of over 7 knots with a pedigree sailing performance.

She has a set of Charts & Cruising Pilots for your charter base.

Jay is available for charter from Oban or by arrangement from other West Coast marinas and harbours inc. Mallaig or the Kyle of Lochalsh in addition to the Clyde making one way charter an ideal option.
